Looks
So perhaps I'm really diggin' deep here...but while looking at some new Sony PS3 console images...I noticed a slight similarity. Not sure if anyone remembers the NEC TurboGrafx 16 system in the early 90's? (The PC Engine in Japan). Well, after a few years in production...NEC combined their game system with their cd-rom to form the "TurboDuo"...as it was known here in the states.
Maybe the the PS3 isn't a dead ringer...but just the general form and placement of a few key elements made me look closer. For instance...the lofted surface on top. The separation in half...The slit for the CD. Ok, so maybe thats it, haha. Just found it to be a slightly interesting throwback to the days of 16-bit!
