Another road trip

Lookin' forward to a weekend roadtrip to Pittsburgh! Never been there before...glad to just go somewhere new. Hopefully its not "too" long of a drive. Got my Halloween costume packed...a vintage US Postal jersey for my Lance constume. Yeah, kah-razy innovative, hehe.

A few weeks ago I had a very interesting day...which led me to think how different some facets of my life are. I woke up early on a Friday morning to help my dad..........kill a pig. Yup, 357 magnum to the head. He had raised it for meat, and the time had come. So lugging it along, gutting, and hanging it were part of the morning activity. Then, shower time and I hop in the mazda for a nice cruise to my metrosexual job as a designer. On the way I have the first stoplight race in YEARS where a modded turbo jetta egged me on. Needless to say it was a fun sprint to 70, but he was quite a ways behind. Here's some advice...take off the 18" wheels...they're slowing you down asshole.

The day goes by sketching and knocking out some renderings. Have two glasses of wine with the co-workers, and then hop on the train for an evening of dinner in NYC.

Now that I look back on days like those...its interesting to see the progression:
1) Start off as a redneck
2) Become a butcher
3) Initial D racer boy
4) Progress in the career I chose
5) Some sophistication and ass-kissing with a round of drinks
6) Romantic evening in the city

Will it come to be?

After much speculation over the past few years...with the demise of the R34 Skyline GTR...Nissan has finally released their supposed concrete concept for the new GTR. Although previous spy photos pointed towards more of a "beefed-up" G35 coupe...the new GTR is a whole new aesthetic. IMO...all those other G35-esque concepts were nice...but would never have made it. You know why? None had the signature round tail lights! Anyway, we shall see if this does indeed make it to production. I feel certain angles of the car are very nice...but the front grill needs some work.

The previous generation: Shot by yours truly in Abiko!

The new:

The wheel arches in the front are just nuts...the feature line kind of confuses the audience into where one surface ends...and another begins:

By the Power of Grayskull!

Well, once again I feel sooo terribly guilty about not updating this blog more often. I thoroughly enjoy it...just lack the time it takes to make an entry everyday. Everything has been busy lately...school is underway so the teaching duties are in full effect. Next week we'll be tacking a Lexmark printer...complete with contour lines...lets see who succeeds. Here's a sample:

Last week I noticed that they now have the complete first season of He-Man on DVD. If anyone is reading this...HINT! *Christmas Present* ...I was soooo into He-Man as a kid...and the animation was some of the best around. Can't wait to watch it once again. Kind of surprised that Cartoon Network never picked it up. They did air some episodes done by a Korean animation studio...but not the originals...unless I totally missed that. Anyway...hope to find it under the tree!

The reason

Have come to the conclusion that the reason I do not update more is the fact I still have dial-up at home. I know, I know...get out of the stone age! But its just depressing to see how slow the internet is...and that totally deters me from fiddling with the blog. Oh well...maybe soon I'll opt for a faster connection. Sort of a catch22: If that happens, It will be college all over again when I'm not getting sleep because of the desire to surf into the morning hours, lol.
