mmmmmmm

Some cool new stuff from the EICMA bike show in Italy! Pretty excited about some of the new offerings. I think this winter I'll upgrade to at least Dura-Ace 10-speed...maybe even an FSA carbon crank...like this!

Belt driven bikes:

The Carrera Estremeo...their top model for 2006

And a delicious Colnago to dream about!

New Concept - Partner

Started this project about a week ago with some quick sketches. In my head it began to gain some momentum...thinking it would be a nice quick portfolio project. Entitled "Partner", this device is both a waste-basket...and an vacuum cleaner. In static form, just throw your garage away like you normally would do. By pushing on the top rim, the vac turns on and the user is able to glide it across the floor. Hope to provide a nice cross section soon at least to give an idea of how it would work :)

Editing

Wow...been so busy with nothingness lately that I didn't find time to blog. Traveling, weddings, tennis, cycling, work, class preparation, and portfolio tweaking. Plus a slow modem at home that totally kills my motivation for being on the web.

Anyway, finalized a new .pdf mailer for my portfolio...happy with how it turned out. Still need to format some new pages and organize some recent projects that need to be shown. Late night of teaching tomorrow...first day of perspective sketching. Hope it goes well.

Not too many "visuals" lately...just thought I'd throw in some clips from a new personal project taking form:

US Open 05!!!

Last Wednesday was money well spent attending the US Open. After being scared for days prior with the threat of rain, it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon with just a slight shower in the evening...only delaying play for about 30 minutes. Second year in a row of me attending...and I can't wait for next year! I'll be watching the Agassi / Blake match tonight. With Ginepri winning today, there is a guaranteed American in the final!

ideation

A slower day at work led to some rough sketches for a vacuum cleaner on Productdesignforums ...Here's just some quick doodles from that effort. Will have some US Open pics tomorrow!
